RESEARCH ON PUFFINS : GET INVOLVED!
Hello bird lovers! Researchers at the University of Oxford (UK) are starting a new project to try and understand better the behaviour of puffins, especially in the winter when they're at sea but nobody really knows where. The data collected by tracking puffins would be very useful to their conservation, especially to help the design of new Marine Protected Areas.
The Oxford Navigation Group is currently trying to increase awareness of the general public about the puffins and to get more people involved in their research. If you're interested, please check out their new SciFund project page where you can learn more about their project and, if you want, help support their research and get puffins goodies and even maps with year-round puffins routes in return!
